Grégoire Ferrandi!

As you probably know I am studying Culinary Arts @ l'Ecole Maxim's.
But I never really wanted to go there.
It's just that I didn't have the choice...
It was either going there or wandering another year doing whatever...

So the school I always wanted to attend is "L'Ecole Supérieur de Cuisine Française Grégoire Ferrandi".

I tried out last year but I ended up on the "liste d'attente".

So I tried again this year.

It was a cold & rainy morning...

March 4th.

I was early (I'm always early when I have a big interview...like 1:30 early...)
So...I was waiting in the lobby & there were these 3 other girls sitting there with me.
And I said to myself:
"Oh Hell No! You guys gonna have to wait because I'm not letting anyone in!"
We chatted a little bit.
Then it was time!

2 teachers:
One looked Japanese & told me he was "The Professeur de Cuisine",
The other was "The Professeur de Comptabilité".

The Japanese guy made me feel uncomfortable.
I didn't even have the time to sit he was already asking questions about:
"Qu'est ce que c'est pour vous la cuisine?"

So I stood there speechless...
I told him that Cuisine to me is: Le partage, le plaisir de rendre les gens heureux (okay that was a bit much...), blah blah blah...

And the lady stopped me & said:
Oh mais il n'y a pas la notion d'envie? de faire découvrir? blah blah blah...?
So I said: Of course, but that's not necessarily how I feel about Cuisine in the first place.

...Dead Silence...

So it went on & on for about 40 minutes!
They were so harsh on me, I thought: 'There's no way I'm going to this school next year...'

But yesterday I opened that letter saying:

"Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer que votre candidature a été retenue pour la Classe Préparatoire Culinaire."

I was overwhelmed, I jumped around like a kid...
That was great!

So I am proud & happy to announce to you my "Affectation à l'école Grégoire Ferrandi".

YAY!
WOOHOO!!!
